Overview:
Supported the planning and led the execution of the Regional Geriatric Rounds, a monthly hybrid educational session developed to promote interdisciplinary learning on topics related to geriatric care. These sessions are a key regional initiative to support knowledge exchange across healthcare sectors.
My Contributions:
I was responsible for making sure every part of the event came together smoothly — before, during, and after.
1. Planning and Coordination
- Collaborated with the Program Manager to confirm monthly speakers and session topics.
- Scheduled and coordinated logistics for moderators as needed.
- Created tailored “run of show” documents and moderator scripts for each session.
2. Communications and Promotion
- Took the lead on all speaker communications: invitations, scheduling, confirmations, follow-ups, and day-of support.
- Designed and shared event promotions across internal and external platforms.
- Managed participant registrations and inquiries.
3. Event Execution & Follow-up
- Provided live event support (virtual or in-person), ensuring smooth facilitation.
- Collected evaluation responses and drafted thank-you letters and summary notes for speakers.
- Edited and uploaded session recordings to YouTube and the website for ongoing access.
Outcome / Impact:
Successfully supported the delivery of accessible and engaging educational sessions, consistently receiving positive feedback from attendees and guest speakers. Contributed to stronger regional collaboration in geriatric care and helped build an open-access video library for continued learning.
